New Approach to State Drone Laws Balances Privacy and Innovation

CALL US: (773) 668-4466

This proposal recognizes that the same capabilities that make drones useful for inspections and logistics, can potentially be misused. This group was created in an effort to strike a balance between commerce and privacy.

If enacted by a state, the law would allow judges to weigh how many times and for how long drones flew over property, how low it was flying there and why, and the time of a flight occurred when determining whether a drone has caused “substantial interference” with a property owner’s use and enjoyment of their land. We’re sure this conversation will be ever evolving for a while. – Team DroneAscent
